With the climate changing at an ever increasing rate and the national car and truck fleet moving towards more sustainable forms of fuel, Tasman Bay Asphalt is committed to working towards minimising our impact on the environment.

Whilst the technology to fuel the plant without fossil fuel is not available yet, we can move to offset what we do produce. Tasman Bay Asphalt has committed to supplying a native seedling for every ton of asphalt produced on the site. Our aim is to provide trees free of charge to local groups who will plant them in an area able to be enjoyed by the public with the expectation they will grow for far longer than the plant will produce asphalt for. This should see thousands of trees planted every year and able to be enjoyed for decades to come.
